Raw Silk Scrunchie

This hand-woven raw silk, with its subtle texture and irregular weave, owes its unique character to natural variations in thread thickness and an artisanal hand-dyeing process using locally grown plants.

Delicate and fragile, this piece requires gentle handling. Silk shouldn’t be washed after every wear. Instead, hang silk pieces to ventilate, away from direct sunlight which can damage the color.

• Silk is best hand washed with a gentle detergent in lukewarm water without soaking.
• Rinse the silk garment without wringing.
• Lay the silk piece on a towel and roll up the towel to absorb excess moisture.
• Hang to air dry.
• Iron at low temperature or use a steamer.
